Whispers is what every cafe should be and I guess after 32 years in business they’ve had plenty of time to work towards perfection. The cafe greets you with that warm,busy hubbub that assures you you’re in a popular cafe. There is a huge range of customers – old and young – and you get the impression there are many loyal regulars among them and I can see why: the range and quality of food is excellent. The coffee rivals any from Wellington’s most sophisticated baristas and the service is friendly and efficient. I love the atmosphere, service, food and despite living in Paraparaumu I tend making a regular pilgrimage for brunch at the weekends!

Our Beginnings
Welcome to Whispers Cafe. The business has been family operated for 30 years ago by Sidney Richardson and Patricia Van Der Velden.
Our cafe has become a firm, favorite meeting place for our local residential customers. We take pride in offering wholesome and delicious cabinet food along with an extensive blackboard menu.
No matter what dietary needs (vegetarian, gluten / dairy free) are required, you can be assured every effort will be made to make your visit to Whispers Cafe a memorable experience.
Furthermore we also offer personalised attention to any catering enquires i.e: morning / afternoon tea, office functions and private parties.
